GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. – Kinney Drugs announces the selection of Katie Niles as vice president of Merchandising and Marketing.
Katie Niles
Niles comes to the company with nearly 20 years of experience in pharmacy, clinical services, and category management at Wegmans Food Markets based in Rochester, NY. Most recently, Katie served as Category Manager & Merchant in Cheese & Deli Merchandising, and previously she served as Category Manager & Merchant for Healthcare in Health & Wellness Merchandising. In that role, she led the OTC Healthcare desk through the COVID pandemic and was responsible for recognizing early shifts in customer purchasing patterns and swiftly sourcing and reacting to unprecedented customer needs.
Prior to shifting to the retail side of Wegmans, Katie spent her career in pharmacy, with various pharmacy management roles and progressive opportunities including Pharmacy Intern Coordinator, Pharmacy Recruitment and Training Coordinator, and Pharmacy Clinical and Wellness Services Manager. In that position, she led efforts to collaboratively design, execute, and improve innovative organization-wide programs for immunizations, point-of-care testing, wellness programs, medication therapy management, and opioid overdose prevention.

Niles earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and is a Registered Pharmacist with Immunization Privilege in the State of New York. She has served as Adjunct Professor/Preceptor for Corporate/Clinical Management & Ambulatory Experiences at both Wegmans School of Pharmacy and University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and is a member of the American Pharmacists Association. She resides in Webster, New York with her husband Tom and their two children.
