HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holdings Corp. has expanded its Shop Your Way loyalty program to offer pharmacy rewards at Kmart.

The company said Monday that the new Shop Your Way Pharmacy Rewards Program gives members $10 back in points, or 10,000 points, for every five qualifying prescriptions filled in a rolling 12-month period at Kmart pharmacies. Besides prescription drugs, qualifying prescriptions also include immunizations and pet medications.

Current and new Shop Your Way members can enroll for the program at any Kmart pharmacy location or online at kmartpharmacy.com/rewards. Each time a member fills a qualified prescription at Kmart pharmacy using a Shop Your Way account number or the phone number connected with the account, progress toward their next reward is tracked automatically.

Once received, pharmacy reward points are usually available for members to redeem for the next transaction after their prescription purchase, Kmart said. Reward points can be redeemed for qualifying nonpharmacy merchandise at any Kmart or Sears store, both in-store and online.

Pharmacy reward points are valid for 14 days, and there’s no limit to the number of points that a member can earn in a rolling year. Members can track their rewards by logging in at kmartpharmacy.com/rewards, opting in for email updates or viewing their prescription purchases printed on the receipt at checkout.

“We listened to our members and transformed the Kmart pharmacy rewards program to better fit their needs,” Kmart pharmacy president Phil Keough said in a statement.  “Our pharmacy rewards program gives members the flexibility and value that Kmart can provide.  And with our unmatched focus on community, health care innovation and personalized attention, we truly are providing maximum value for our members.”

Kmart added that it’s adding new features to its pharmacy mobile app this year. Along with enabling patients to manage their prescriptions on the go, the pharmacy app will provide reminders for when a prescription is ready for pickup, when to take medication or when a refill is due.

The company also noted that Kmart pharmacists are trained in medication therapy management and are certified to provide a range of immunizations, and customers have access to health and wellness deals from Kmart partners such as JillianMichaels.com, Lose It!, Snap Fitness, Care.com, Doctor on Demand and American Well.

As of Jan. 31, Kmart had 723 pharmacies in 979 stores, including 11 supercenters, across 49 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam.
