More than 6.6 million people with Medicare have saved over $7 billion on prescription drugs as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health care reform law, according to new information released by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

DeGolyer to become COO at Endo

Lannett to distribute Aceon authorized generic

Lannett Co. has signed an agreement with Symplmed Inc. to be the exclusive U.S. distributor of an authorized generic version of Aceon, a hypertension medication. Lannett said Friday that the authorized generic of Aceon (perindopril erbumine tablets) will come in dosages of 2 mg, 4 mg and 8 mg.

Dr. Smith’s lands distribution at major retail chains

Mission Pharmacal Co. has ramped up retail distribution for Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment, which it acquired in 2009. The company said Tuesday that Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment is now available in all Walgreens drug stores and on Walgreens.com, as well as in Kroger Co. supermarkets.
