SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Lewis Drug has opened a “next generation” store here designed to offer consumers the “highest level of convenience.”
The 25,000-square-foot store, opened last month, is located at Minnesota Avenue and 37th Street and replaces the 27-year-old Southgate store just a few blocks away.
“Our pledge is to provide our guests with easy access to smart products with the right balance of style and practicality. And while they’re here, we want to pleasantly surprise them with a few unexpected finds,” said Lewis chief executive officer Mark Griffin.
The new store features the latest designs in product displays, lighting and customer flow, plus high ceilings, wide aisles and ample natural light throughout the space, Griffin said.
“Lewis has been serving our local communities for 75 years. Opening this new store in the shadows of the two previous Southgate stores is very exciting. We can’t wait to see the first guests come through the doors,” he added.
Lewis is developing two more stores in Sioux Falls. The new west side store near 41st Street and Ellis Road is expected to be built and open next year. A new downtown store also is in the works.
Overall, Lewis has 55 stores and two long-term care facilities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
