LOS ANGELES — Drinks Americas Holdings Ltd. plans to release Los Ultimos Dias, a limited-edition bottle of its KAH Tequila, in Walgreens drug stores in New Mexico.
The company said Tuesday that KAH special edition is due out next month and will be carried by more 30 Walgreens stores and other retailers across the state.
"Our continued business relationship with KAH has grown exponentially here in the state of New Mexico," commented Raine Paulk, sales supervisor at Southwest Wines & Spirits, the exclusive distributor of KAH Tequila in New Mexico. "We look forward to the release of the Los Ultimos Dias bottle in November 2012."
Plans also call for Walgreens to host Richard Cabo, the bottle artist for Los Ultimos Dias, in New Mexico during the first weekend in December. Cabo will sign the limited-release bottles and meet with customers at one of the Walgreens stores, according to Paulk.
Besides KAH Tequila, Drinks Americas’s roster of alcoholic premium beverages includes Agave 99 Tequila, Rio Bravo Beer, Crazy Pig Mexican Ale, Mexicali Beer and Chili Devil Beer. The company also markets Willie Nelson’s Old Whiskey River Bourbon, receives a royalty for Kid Rock’s American Badass Beer and Damiana Mexican Liqueur, and owns and distributes Rheingold Beer.
