SAN FRANCISCO — SC Johnson has named longtime Mattel executive Lisa McKnight chief executive officer of its Lifestyle Brands division, which includes Method, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, Ecover and Babyganics.
McKnight announced the move in a LinkedIn post, expressing excitement about joining SC Johnson and returning to San Francisco, her hometown. She will be based at the Lifestyle Brands headquarters in the city.
McKnight joins SC Johnson after a nearly 25-year career at Mattel, where she most recently served as executive vice president and chief brand officer. She held that role for more than two years and previously held several senior marketing and brand leadership positions at the toy company.
At Mattel, McKnight played a prominent role in the company’s brand strategy and oversaw marketing for a portfolio that includes Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. She left Mattel earlier this year following a reorganization of the company’s leadership team.
Before joining Mattel, McKnight worked at Gap, where she served as director of marketing for Gap and GapKids.
