SALT LAKE CITY — Azova announced today that Ashton Maaraba has left eRx Network to join Azova as senior vice president, sales and operations, effective immediately. Maaraba will lead Azova’s sales and operations team, with responsibility for retail pharmacy, physician, pharma, patient and payer divisions and will also oversee company operations.

Maaraba is expected to make an immediate impact as a strategic member of the company’s executive leadership team. “I look forward to collaborating closely with Ashton as we leverage his deep industry intelligence, insights and skills in leading both our sales and operations, while continuing to innovate our core product offerings and business infrastructure,” said Paul Ewing, chief technology officer, Azova.

Maaraba has nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, digital health, medical device and pharmacy services industries, and most recently at eRx Network (formerly Emdeon), where he led the Product and Partners team. Prior to his time at eRx, Maaraba held executive leadership positions, most notably at PharmaSmart, a health screening kiosk and health IT company. At PharmaSmart, Maaraba was responsible for the company’s business development, operations and brand management, and he held an influential role as a member of the company’s senior leadership team. He also held senior management positions at FLAVORx, and Advisory Council positions for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and Rx Impact, government advocacy.

“I am excited to join Azova,” said Maaraba. “This is a fast-growing and innovative company with top talent in digital health, telemedicine, and telepharmacy. Azova has pioneered a new way to drive digital health services into workflow, connecting all the dots in the healthcare ecosystem into a single, integrated and cloud-based solution while interfacing with pharmacy systems, physician EMRs, employer and payer group software systems, and the consumer. Azova opens the door for collaboration, portability and the ability to penetrate communication channels across a niche digital healthcare marketplace.”

“Azova is excited to have Ashton join our leadership team,” said Cheryl Lee Eberting, chief executive officer and founder of Azova. “His passion, appetite for success, leadership and experience will be invaluable as we deploy our technology and strategy.”
