SOUTH FALLSBURG, N.Y. — David Fishman has joined Majestic Drug Co. as vice president.
In announcing the appointment this week, the oral care and personal care product manufacturer said the move continues the company’s family-owned business tradition. David Fishman is the son of Larry Fishman, Majestic’s president.
"We are very proud of our heritage of family involvement in Majestic for over 50 years. My father Sam Fishman bought the company in 1960 and brought me on as plant manager in 1970," stated Larry Fishman. "Now, over 50 years after my father started it all, I am thrilled that my son David has joined the family business."
Fishman noted that his son "brings fresh ideas and a new energy and perspective into the company" that will be an asset in driving Majestic’s growth. "He will be instrumental in all aspects of the company, including product development, marketing and sales. David has been involved with the company since he was a kid, and even when he was teaching math in Arizona we would often find time to discuss the business. We welcome him and are really excited about what his presence here will add to the company."
David Fishman got his undergraduate degree from State University of New York-Geneseo in Geneseo, N.Y., and his master’s degree in mathematics from Arizona State University, where he was a math instructor for the past seven years.
"Majestic has always been a part of my life," David Fishman commented. "I am really looking forward to carrying on what my grandfather and father have built and continuing the tradition of providing high-quality products that meet a real consumer need. I also hope to make my own mark on the Majestic legacy and can’t wait to put some of my ideas into action."
