EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Mondelez International has introduced Nabisco Rice Thins, a new gluten-free snack that the company said caters to all consumer lifestyles.

Mondelez said Wednesday that Nabisco Rice Thins are made with quality rice that is baked until crisp. The light-textured, crunchy snack is cholesterol-free and low in saturated fat.

Rice Thins provide 19 grams of whole grain per 30-gram serving, and 13 pieces of the thin rice snacks total just 130 calories.

Nabisco Rice Thins come in a variety of flavors, including White Rice Original, Brown Rice Sea Salt & Pepper and Brown Rice White Cheddar.

Citing research from The NPD Group, Mondelez reported that 30% of Americans are considering or are moving to a gluten-free diet.

"We launched new Nabisco Rice Thins for consumers who are looking to make changes in their eating habits," stated Kimberly Fontes, senior manager of communications at Mondelez International. "We created Nabisco Rice Thins with these consumers in mind, as well as those that need to follow a gluten-free lifestyle. We’re excited to be one of the mainstream brands offering a gluten-free option that is not only wholesome, but delicious."
