On Wednesday, January 31, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is set to hold its first ever Food is Medicine Summit where NACDS president and CEO Steven Anderson will speak.

ARLINGTON, Va. — On Wednesday, January 31, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is set to hold its first ever Food is Medicine Summit where NACDS president and CEO Steven Anderson will speak.

The full-day event will convene policymakers, advocates, researchers and stakeholders to discuss the importance of food is medicine, what specific actions are being taken to promote this concept and what stakeholders can do to further promote work in this space. NACDS looks forward to participating in this inaugural event — which aligns with NACDS’ work to highlight community pharmacies as leaders in health and wellness innovation.

NACDS’ invite people to tune in to the Food is Medicine Summit at 3:45 PM ET for a panel discussion that includes Anderson, and which will emphasize the role of cross-sector partnerships in supporting and expanding access to food is medicine resources and interventions.
