ARLINGTON, Va. — Exhibit space for the 2015 NACDS Total Store Expo has sold out, a month before the annual chain drug industry event kicks off in Denver.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores said Friday that although the exhibit floor space is filled, online registration is still open for retailers and suppliers that may want to send more members of their team to the trade show. A wait list also is available should more exhibit space open up, NACDS added.

The NACDS Total Store Expo runs Aug. 22 to 25 at the Colorado Convention Center.

“The one thing that matters most at the NACDS Total Store Expo is the strong engagement of retailers and suppliers, and that strong engagement is aligning again to create another exceptional opportunity for participants at the 2015 event. The industry’s enthusiasm and support for this event are greatly appreciated. The focus now is on fostering the preparation by each participant to help create a successful and productive experience for retailers and exhibitors,” NACDS president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson said in a statement.

“Now in its third year, the NACDS Total Store has proven effective in bringing together retailers — across all departments and categories — with the right suppliers to develop business opportunities that extend long after the four-day show,” Anderson noted.

Highlights of this year’s Total Store Expo agenda include the following:

Insight Sessions offer presentations by experts on a key issues and priorities for the chain drug sector, including innovation, health care, business and logistics. To date, 21 Insight Sessions are scheduled during the NACDS Total Store Expo.

Meet the Market 10-minute appointments arranged by NACDS provide an effective way for participating exhibitors to present their company and products to retailers firsthand. Through this program, the Total Store Expo generates thousands of meetings, NACDS said.

• Likewise, Meet the Retailer gives suppliers an opportunity to hear directly from retailers about how to do business together.

• NACDS is again teaming up with Kantar Retail for Vision 2026, an engaging showcase that gives attendees a glimpse of “what comes next” in the industry via technology platforms, displays and interactive experiences.

• And headlining the list of speakers at the Total Store Expo is longtime NBC News anchor and author Tom Brokaw, who will share his experiences about reporting the news and bringing real-world stories into the homes of Americans for nearly five decades.

To help attendees get the most out of the Expo, NACDS is providing a menu of online and mobile resources, including the NACDS Total Store Expo website, mobile app and NACDS-TV, which offervideo tutorials, checklists, online planners and other tools.

“This year’s NACDS Total Store Expo will deliver on its commitment to provide attendees with innovative, cutting-edge programming and opportunities that focus on retailers’ and suppliers’ needs,” Anderson added. “We look forward to another incredible event.”
