DALLAS — Naterra International Inc. has begun the national launch of Phase+, a skin care line designed to address the cosmetic effects that diabetes has on the skin.

The beauty care, baby care and personal care product maker said Monday that Phase+ is infused with anti-microbial ingredients to help prevent skin care problems related to diabetes, such as cracked heels and ultra-dry skin.

Available at all Walgreens stores, the Phase+ product line includes Phase+ Foot Therapy ($14.99) and Phase+ Exfoliating Wash ($7.99).

Phase+ Foot Therapy is formulated to provide a barrier to help protect skin, promote blood flow so skin can heal and help soften calluses. The dual-action Phase+ Exfoliating Wash gently exfoliates to help prevent thickening without the risk of damaging skin, while its moisturizing formula helps prevent dry skin.

Co-developed with a leading dermatologist, the Phase+ line includes key ingredients such as gingko biloba and grape seed extracts, which are known to help skin heal and improve blood circulation, according to Naterra.

"Phase+ fills a void in the marketplace to address the highly specific skin care issues faced by diabetics," stated Jin Song, chief executive officer of Naterra. "I’m particularly impressed with the line’s targeted approach to ultra-dry skin, dark spots and thickening of the skin. I think Phase+ will be a welcomed addition to the arsenal of products that help diabetics live more comfortable and productive lives."
