NCPA announces upcoming events for pharmacy teams

New online events in June and July.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming online events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members: 

  • June 4 – Opportunities for Growth: Cultivating Long-Term Care Continuum Services, part of our NCPA Learning Hour series. Explore emerging opportunities in long-term care pharmacy services, key operational and compliance considerations, and practical strategies to support growth beyond traditional dispensing. Learn more and register.
  • June 25 – NASPA Pharmacy-Based Point-of-Care Test and Treat National Certificate Program. This training provides an opportunity to gain the skills and information necessary to develop a testing program for diseases such as influenza, Group A Streptococcus, HIV, hepatitis C, coronaviruses, and chronic diseases. Learn more and register by June 18.

Registration is also open for the following in-person events:   

  • June 12-13 – Business of Long-Term Care Workshop in Alexandria, Va. This is NCPA’s most in-depth training for LTC learning, meant for those starting an LTC pharmacy, those kickstarting new LTC services, or those who already offer those services but need them to be more successful and sustainable. Learn more and register by June 8.
  • July 11-12 – Pharmacy Ownership Workshop, sponsored by McKesson and in part by First Financial Bank and Pharmacists Mutual Companies, taking place in Chicago, Ill. An intensive two-day event for pharmacists considering pharmacy ownership or current owners looking to polish their management skills. Learn more and register by June 30.

Additionally, registration opens on June 15 for the NCPA 2026 Annual Convention and Expo, which will be held Oct. 3-6 in Kansas City, Mo., and for our Pre-Convention Growth and Profitability Programs. This convention is the premier national business show for independent pharmacists and their teams, featuring peer-to-peer business education, endless networking opportunities with old friends and new connections, and an Expo Hall filled with companies that have products and services to help make their business stronger and more efficient. Learn more.
