FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Nipro Diagnostics Inc. has started shipping to major retailers and distributors a new portfolio of more than 30 ancillary products for people with diabetes.

The manufacturer and marketer of blood glucose monitoring products and diabetes management supplies said the new TRUEplus products are designed to offer innovative, affordable solutions for diabetes patients to lead healthier lives.

In addition, Nipro said, the new line also extends brand recognition and category sales for retailers who carry its TRUE meter portfolio, which includes TRUEresult and TRUE2go blood glucose monitors, among others.

The TRUEplus line includes fast-acting glucose tablets, shots and gels; ketone strips; diabetic multivitamins; syringes, lancets and lancing devices.

According to Nipro, each item in the TRUEplus line adds innovative features and benefits. For example, TRUEplus fast-acting glucose products (tablets, shots, and gels) include 400 IU of Vitamin D and come in convenient travel sizes so they can be taken easily anytime, anywhere.

"Launching the TRUEplus products provides us the opportunity to create a diabetes destination strategy leveraging our category expertise for the diabetic patient and their needs," stated Nipro president and chief executive officer Scott Verner. "This initiative enables expansion of the TRUE brand and extends its message of exceptional quality and value, while further enhancing our mission of making quality diabetes care solutions more affordable."

Nipro adding that retailers, by including TRUEplus products with their existing TRUE meters, can streamline ordering by working with a single-source supplier, achieve significant new margin opportunities and category growth, and amplify awareness of the diabetes meters/ancillary products brand that is associated with their stores.
