PROVO, Utah — Orabrush said its patented tongue cleaner and tongue foam are now being carried in about 5,000 Walgreens drug stores across the country.
The company said Wednesday that the distribution with Walgreens brings the total number of retail outlets carrying Orabrush products to almost 30,000 worldwide.
Orabrush’s tongue cleaner features a brush made of ultra-soft, pointed bristles that are designed to reach deep into the crevices of the tongue to loosen the bacteria that cause bad breath, along with a scraper that removes the bacteria and residue from the tongue.
The Orabrush tongue foam complements the cleaner with seven all-natural enzymes that protect the mouth by eliminating the bacteria responsible for bad breath and promoting the good bacteria needed to keep a mouth healthy, according to the company.
Orabrush noted that since its launch in 2009, the oral care company has executed one of the most successful social media marketing campaigns using YouTube. Orabrush’s YouTube channel has more than 47 million channel views and is the third most-subscribed-to channel, behind only Apple and Old Spice, the company said. Orabrush has also amassed over 340,000 fans on Facebook.
Orabrush explained that this "reverse marketing model" has driven product placement in traditional retail outlets worldwide.
"We have a very loyal online community of fans who have played a critical role in getting us onto retail shelves by demanding the ability to purchase our products from the stores they frequent most," stated Jeff Davis, chief executive officer Orabrush. "Walgreens is the largest drug store chain in the U.S., and we are thrilled that this will help make our products much more accessible to our followers."
