OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Parnell today announced the availability of a new 50 mL presentation of PropofolVet Multidose (propofol injectable emulsion), providing veterinary professionals with an additional option to support anesthesia protocols while helping optimize inventory management and reduce waste. The new presentation complements the existing 20 mL offering, extending the reach of Parnell's first generic propofol injectable emulsion for dogs.
PropofolVet Multidose is indicated for use in dogs for induction of anesthesia, maintenance of general anesthesia by intermittent bolus injections for short procedures, and induction of general anesthesia when maintenance is provided by inhalant anesthetics. The new 50 mL presentation is designed to help practices better align product selection with patient volume and workflow needs. Like the existing presentation, the product offers a 28-day in-use shelf life with no refrigeration required, helping veterinary teams maximize product utilization while simplifying storage and handling requirements.
