TORONTO — Shoppers Drug Mart has announced partnerships that it says will make it easier for its customers to shop for designer fashions or get a flu shot.
The first of those partnerships has seen the drug chain team up with the Montreal-based fashion online retailer Beyond the Rack to launch a new website (shoppersdrugmart.ca/btr) for members of its Shoppers Optimum loyalty card program.
“We are always looking for new ways to reward Shoppers Optimum members, and partnering with Beyond the Rack allows us to offer amazing deals on designer fashions and accessories for our style-savvy shoppers,” says SDM executive vice president and chief merchandising officer Mike Motz. “Gaining access to exclusive designer discounts while earning Shoppers Optimum points gives our members a unique and rewarding shopping experience.”
Optimum members who register for the new program on the SDM website will receive weekly e-mails with exclusive offers on designer merchandise, including apparel, electronics, jewelry and accessories, at discounts of up to 80%.
SDM is also joining forces with Morneau Shepell, a provider of employee assistance programs and pension and benefit services, to give Morneau Shepell’s clients a more convenient way to offer flu vaccines to their employees.
Morneau Shepell clients will be able to get flu vaccines at SDM stores by just walking in or by making an appointment using an online scheduling tool.
“It’s great to see Morneau Shepell and its clients making flu vaccines a priority, as it is one of the most reliable ways to protect against the flu,” says Dr. Dorian Lo, executive vice president of pharmacy and health care at SDM. “And an added benefit of getting vaccinated by a pharmacist is that people can get useful advice about other preventative measures at the same time.”
