Patrick Carroll named group VP and CMO at Walgreens

Walgreens announced that Patrick Carroll, who had been serving as chief medical officer for its Healthcare Clinic businesses since joining the company in 2014, has taken on a new role as group vice president, healthcare services and clinical programs.

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens announced that Patrick Carroll, who had been serving as chief medical officer for its Healthcare Clinic businesses since joining the company in 2014, has taken on a new role as group vice president, healthcare services and clinical programs.

He will also be assuming the full-time role as Walgreens chief medical officer. Carroll and his team will be responsible for clinical analytics, clinical program development and he will play and integral role in helping execute the retailer’s strategy in working with other provider and payer partners and other groups internally to bring new and different services to its stores and digital platforms.
