PCMA adds public affairs leaders

The new hires strengthen the association’s advocacy, coalition-building, and stakeholder engagement capabilities at the state and federal levels.

WASHINGTON – The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) named MacKay Jimeson Vice President of Coalitions and Christine Rex Senior Director of State Communications.

The new hires strengthen the association’s advocacy, coalition-building, and stakeholder engagement capabilities at the state and federal levels.

“Bringing this level of talent reflects PCMA’s commitment to strategically meeting the needs of this moment,” said President and CEO David Marin. “The pharmacy benefit manager industry has been transformed and is more responsive than ever, and we are entering a new era of advocacy at PCMA. MacKay will use his unique experience advocating for patients to strengthen our coalition partnerships and build broader alliances for the industry and the 289 million patients we serve. Christine is a battle-tested communicator who expertly navigates state legislative debates. Our team is deeper and more dynamic having them at PCMA.”

Jimeson will lead PCMA’s coalition strategy and third-party partnership engagement efforts, working with patient advocates, employer organizations, provider groups, and other stakeholders.

Prior to joining PCMA, Jimeson served as Executive Director of Patients Rising, where he expanded the organization’s national influence and strengthened its role in health care policy. Earlier, he founded Ember Global Advisors and spent nearly a decade at Pfizer in senior corporate affairs roles. He began his career in public service, serving Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and advising state and national political leaders.

Rex will support PCMA’s growing state advocacy efforts, helping to oversee state campaigns and coalition communications, while working closely with our member companies.

She brings nearly two decades of experience helping organizations navigate complex policy, regulatory, and reputational challenges. Her career spans Capitol Hill, agency consulting, and corporate public affairs across health care, energy, agriculture, and other highly regulated industries.
