FORT WORTH, Texas, and RESTON, Va. — PDX Inc. and Mirixa Corp. have entered an agreement to integrate the MirixaPro platform with the PDX Classic Pharmacy System and the PDX Enterprise Pharmacy System.
The pharmacy technology companies said Thursday that the integration of their systems will offer pharmacies a seamless solution for an industrywide problem: medication nonadherence.
MirixaPro provides pharmacies with tools for medication therapy management (MTM) and other targeted, pharmacist-delivered services to improve patient health outcomes and evaluate safety and efficiency of medication treatment plans.
"As the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating system becomes effective next year, pharmacies know it’s more important than ever to continue to improve patient outcomes," stated Jeff Farris, chief executive officer of PDX. "Our relationship with Mirixa will increase the speed-to-market of an MTM solution our pharmacies need today to help them promote compliance and adherence."
Used by 21 chains and a leading managed care network, the PDX Enterprise Pharmacy System is PDX’s enterprise-level, scalable pharmacy solution. The PDX Pharmacy System, dubbed PDX Classic, is still used by thousands of pharmacies nationwide is designed for chain pharmacies and high-volume independents.
