BOCA RATON, Fla. — PearlBrite Concepts Inc.’s teeth whitening pens are now being sold at 292 Walgreens drug stores in South Florida.

The company, part of Delta Entertainment Group Inc., said Monday that the PearlBrite Pen if used regularly will whiten teeth up to 10 shades.

The product is a one-month supply being offered by Walgreens for an introductory price of $9.99, a 50% discount from its regular $19.99 price.

"We’re very excited to have the No. 1 drug retailer in the world making PearlBrite’s teeth whitening pens available to consumers in 292 Walgreens in South Florida," commented Leonard Tucker, president of PearlBrite.

According to PearlBrite, certain teeth whitening products and procedures have an average 96% success rate but may vary based on the condition and upkeep of a person’s teeth and gums. The company said PearlBrite Pens are safe and won’t soften enamel or fillings if instructions and frequency of use guidelines are followed.

The main ingredient in PearlBrite’s whitening solution is carbamide peroxide. Dentists have used peroxide solutions to achieve whitening results for many years, the company said, adding that the percentage of carbamide peroxide in PearlBrite is 44%, a mix considered safe for all teeth and gum types.
