BOULDER, Colo. — Allison Janda has been named vice president of retail store operations at Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy.

The regional drug chain says Janda, who has been with the company since 2006, will oversee efforts to implement its brand and values across its nearly two dozen stores in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.

“Allison has a record of leading our team members to success and implementing systems that maximize what Pharmaca has to offer,” chief executive officer Mark Panzer says. “We’re excited to see how she will expand her already pivotal role in streamlining store operations.”

Since joining Pharmaca after stints with various other retailers, including Gap Inc. and American Eagle Outfitters Inc., Janda has been the chain’s director of retail operations.

Panzer notes that in that role she has been instrumental in supporting significant growth in stores, implementing key initiatives and processes, and providing operational leadership that has produced big improvements in store execution, training, team development, cost controls and sales growth.

Early next month, Pharmaca plans to open a new store in Menlo Park, Calif. The 4,700-square-foot outlet will be the chain’s ninth unit in the Bay Area and its 23rd overall.

Panzer says the store will extend Pharmaca’s unique offering in the area. “Our distinctive concept provides customers an opportunity to manage their health through traditional pharmacy offerings, holistic treatment options, additional health-focused products, educational resources and a talented licensed practitioner staff,” he states.
