PLMA’s 2024 Private Label Trade Show set to break records in Chicago

CHICAGO — With a sold-out floor featuring more than 1,800 exhibitors and over 3,000 booths, PLMA’s “The Store Brands Phenomenon 2024 - Empowering the Retail Industry” is set to be the largest Private Label Trade Show to date. Set to be held from November 17-19 at Chicago’s Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, the event is expected to draw around 15,000 attendees, including retailers, exhibitors, and visitors, all eager to explore the booming private label sector.

The three-day event will be packed with engaging presentations from a high-profile lineup of speakers. Notably, Dave Rinaldo, President of ALDI, will deliver the keynote breakfast address on Monday, November 18, sharing insights on how retailers and manufacturers can capitalize on the private label boom to provide greater value to consumers. “PLMA’s 2024 Trade Show provides an exceptional opportunity to learn from industry leaders,” said PLMA President Peggy Davies. “This event promises to inspire and inform participants about the evolving landscape of store brands.”

The speaker roster includes several other prominent voices. Opening seminars on Sunday, November 17, will include topics such as “Unlocking the $100 Billion Opportunity: The Future of Private Labels” by Randy Burt and Matt Hamory of Alix Partners, and “Generative AI: A Force to Increase Productivity” led by NYU Stern’s Conor Grennan. On Tuesday, Bridget Brennan, CEO of Female Factor, will close out the program with insights into how retailers can grow market share by catering to female consumers, considered one of the most powerful consumer segments globally.

Attendees will have plenty of chances to explore innovative products and trends across the show floor. The Idea Supermarket will feature cutting-edge product and packaging trends from across the globe, while the New Product Expo will showcase hundreds of new items submitted by domestic and international exhibitors, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and packaging.

New this year is an exhibit featuring award-winning wines from the 2024 PLMA Salute to Excellence Awards, as well as displays of other notable store brand foods and non-foods. Visitors can also access Show Navigator, a mobile-friendly app that provides up-to-the-minute information on exhibitors, the show schedule, and floor maps.

PLMA’s 2024 Private Label Trade Show promises to be a major networking and learning event for industry leaders, with a focus on the continued growth and innovation of private labels.
