PARSIPPANY, N.J. — This month, Reckitt Benckiser is rolling out a trio of new cough/cold products.
The company is adding Delsym Cough Relief Plus lozenges to its Delsym line of cough medicines, expanding its Cepacol line of throat lozenges with Cepacol Sensations, and extending the Mucinex line with Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max caplets.
Delsym Cough Relief Plus lozenges are designed to provide relief from sore throats. "The lozenges combine the power of Delsym plus ingredients that help bring soothing sore throat relief," a spokeswoman said about the product, which will be offered in honey lemon and sugar-free cherry flavors.
The new Cepacol Sensations provide relief from a sore throat. The company said it wants Cepacol to become known by consumers as a go-to brand for all sore throat conditions. To that end, Cepacol Sensations is aimed at alleviating mild sore throat discomfort and pain.
Cepacol Sensations comes in cooling, warming and hydra varieties designed to relieve sore throat pain and provide instant comfort. The lozenges are indicated for adults and children over age 5.
Meanwhile, Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max caplets offer Reckitt Benckiser’s line of multisymptom liquid remedies in caplet form. The caplets combine the mucus-busting power of Mucinex with maximum-strength medicines for multisymptom relief, the company said. Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max caplets are indicated for ages 12 years and older.
