FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Americans are increasingly struggling to tell whether common symptoms like sneezing, congestion, and itchy eyes are due to allergies or a viral illness, as longer allergy seasons continue to overlap with cold and flu outbreaks, according to a new report highlighted by LifeBridge.
The findings reflect a wider trend noted in a late-October report from WLOS, which cited medical experts warning that longer allergy seasons are making it more difficult to assess personal health, especially in traditionally warmer areas. Physician Jordan Smallwood of Allergy Partners of Western North Carolina mentioned that overlapping symptoms between fall allergies and viral infections are complicating patients' ability to identify the true cause of respiratory discomfort.
LifeBridge executives say the issue is worsening as climate-related changes lengthen pollen seasons, while public health experts warn of a severe 2025–2026 flu season in the Northern Hemisphere. The company states that this convergence is increasing demand for clearer guidance and more comprehensive respiratory-support solutions.
Since its founding in 2018, LifeBridge has focused on natural methods for respiratory and allergy support, including products formulated with ovomucoid and ovoinhibitors from quail eggs to help control histamine responses, as well as supplements aimed at supporting lung health. Company leaders say these products are becoming more relevant as consumers look for non-pharmaceutical options to manage symptoms that now last much of the year.
LifeBridge is a Slovakia-based nutraceutical company operating across Central Europe. Its leadership team brings years of experience from senior roles at global pharmaceutical companies like Roche, Pfizer, and Bayer, applying that expertise to create natural solutions for allergies, immune health, and respiratory wellness.
