CAMP HILL, Pa. — With the new year approaching, Rite Aid Corp. is enabling members of its wellness+ customer loyalty program to earn lifestyle and entertainment awards.

Rite Aid said Monday that under the "Happy You Year" promotion, which runs through Jan. 24, wellness+ cardholders buying $50 of qualifying products will get a Unique Reward Code at the bottom of their register receipt.

Customers can make multiple visits and purchases to reach the reward thresholds of $50, $100, $150, $200 and $250, receiving a new code at each threshold up to a total of five. The codes can be used individually or combined to redeem for bigger and better rewards, the retailer said.

Rewards include items such as a free round of mini golf, exercise classes, a beauty treatment, a personal training session, movie tickets and hotel stays.

Participating products are identified by a red "Buy & Earn" symbol on Rite Aid store shelves. More than 16,000 products qualify for the promotion, including over-the-counter medicines such as allergy, cold and pain relievers; skin care, cosmetics and beauty products such as nail polish and fragrances; hair care items such as shampoo, hair dryers, accessories, shavers and trimmers; household supplies including air fresheners, laundry detergent, paper towels and pet food; vitamins and supplements; and consumables such as cereal, cookies and sports drinks.

For a list of the rewards available, as well as promotion details or code redemption, customers can go to Rite Aid’s website at RiteAid.com/youyear.

"We wanted to offer something special to our most loyal customers — wellness+ members — as we enter the New Year, as a way to thank them for their business," John Learish, senior vice president of marketing at Rite Aid, said in a statement. "By participating in ‘Happy You Year,’ our customers have the opportunity to earn a reward of their choosing, and with rewards ranging from an evening out with the family to a fitness class or a day at the salon, there’s something for everyone."
