CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Corp. is encouraging its customers to use their wellness+ cards by giving them a chance to win an array of prizes.

Through January 22, shoppers who use the Rite Aid loyalty card will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a vacation, fitness equipment, personal electronics and other prizes. Altogether, 775 prizes are scheduled to be given away by the drug store retailer.

The sweepstakes is being run to promote Rite Aid’s new reward program, which is dubbed Resolution Rewards.

“With our Resolution and Winter Rewards program, we’re able to deliver even more value to our 29 million wellness+ members while giving away some great prizes along the way,” senior vice president of marketing John Learish says. “The more often wellness+ members shop and use their wellness+ card, the greater their chance to win a prize that will help them enjoy winter a little more.”

Learish notes that many of the prizes that are being given away are designed to help customers become more healthy and active.

The prizes being awarded include Polaris all-terrain mountain bikes; Nintendo Wii game consoles, complete with Wii Fit and a balance board; Life Fitness ellipticals or treadmills; Apple’s iPod Touch and $50 iTunes gift card packages; and Rite Aid gift cards.

The sweepstakes’ grand prize is a four-day and three-night trip for two to Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Ariz.

In another sweepstakes, Rite Aid has teamed up with BL Body, a line of shape wear that was inspired by the weight-loss reality television program “The Biggest Loser.”

Supplied by Reveille LLC, which licenses the BL Body name from NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group, Rite Aid is the only brick-and-mortar retailer offering the collection.

The sweepstakes, which also runs until January 22, is open to anyone. The winner will receive a trip for two to the Biggest Loser Ranch in Los Angeles, where the TV show is filmed. The second prize is a one-year membership for two to the Biggest Loser Club online weight-loss program.
