CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Corp. has launched what it called a "more powerful" photo website that offers added image storage and more options and convenience in ordering prints, photo books, calendars and other photo products and gifts.
The drug store chain said Wednesday that the new photo site, accessed at mywayphotos.riteaid.com, allows unlimited digital storage for users with active accounts and migrates customer photos that were uploaded before the upgrade.
Customers can choose from hundreds of new professionally designed templates on dozens of personalized photo gifts, including mugs, brush-stroke canvases, mouse pads, 3D and light-up laser-etched crystals, woven wall tapestries, dinner plates, teddy bears, neckties and playing cards, according to Rite Aid.
The redesigned photo site also provides customers with a simpler design process, enabling them to pay online or in stores (purchases over $25 must be paid online), the retailer noted. Select photo products can then be picked up in as little as one hour from any of Rite Aid’s 4,700 stores. Send-out projects can be shipped to any destination, with options including next-day delivery.
"Rite Aid’s newly revamped photo website puts the latest photo technology in the hands of Rite Aid customers from the convenience of their home or office," Bill Renz, vice president of merchandising at Rite Aid, said in a statement. "Customers can now more easily upload photos and create personalized photo projects of all kinds."
With the site upgrade, Rite Aid said it’s offering limited-time photo product promotions and competitive everyday prices. Promotions include photo cards for personalized holiday greetings, announcements, postcards and more starting at 59 cents; buy one photo book and get one free; buy two photo calendars and get one free; buy 25 4×6 prints and get one 8×10 free; get 25 4×6 prints or 15 4×8 flat greeting cards free; 4×6 prints for home delivery at 9 cents apiece; and get a free photo mug with any photo gift purchase over $9.99.
Rite Aid added that it’s one of the few retail chains to still handle film processing. All store locations allow customers to use send-out film processing, and 1,300 locations offer one-hour film processing.
