ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A change in the 2012 congressional calendar has caused the National Association of Chain Drug Stores to reschedule March’s NACDS RxImpact Day on Capitol Hill.
The new dates for the event will be March 21 and March 22. NACDS explains that RxImpact Day had to be rescheduled because a change to the congressional calendar will see lawmakers visiting their home states and districts during the days that the event was originally scheduled for.
“There is much at stake with the health care delivery system today and it’s imperative that pharmacy advocates engage with their elected officials during their visit to Washington,” NACDS president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson says. “The rescheduling will now enable pharmacy advocates from across the country to engage with lawmakers on pro-patient and pro-pharmacy issues.”
Participants in RxImpact Day meet with federal lawmakers to raise their awarness of the role pharmacists play in the nation’s health care system.
