TORONTO — Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) has launched a Beauty Boutique e-commerce website, allowing customers to #BRINGBEAUTYHOME with the click of a button.

The new BeautyBoutique.ca site gives customers the opportunity to view thousands of prestige beauty products for online purchase — and to collect Optimum points with each purchase. Site users can shop for fragrance favorites and beauty items, discovering new brands in the process.

“We are excited to offer Canadians 24/7 access to their favorite Beauty Boutique brands, catering to customers who want an enhanced and convenient shopping experience,” says SDM president Mike Motz. “In addition to having access to a large assortment of beauty products online, customers can earn Optimum points with every purchase. We know Canadians love their Optimum points, so keeping this consistent with the in-store experience was very important to us.”

With a content-rich shopping experience, brands will be highlighted in a powerful, educational and visual way. The site is fully responsive: Whether on a phone, tablet or desktop, the user screens will adjust and become optimized for the best experience.

“The vision of BeautyBoutique.ca was to create a unique online retail experience, while keeping three things in mind — accessibility and reach, convenience through digital, and brand assortment,” says Cathy Masson, SDM’s vice president of category management.

BeautyBoutique.ca customers will benefit from free shipping on purchases over $75 and can expect shipping times to average two to six days.

Users can browse such brands as Benefit, Clarins, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, Prada, Shiseido and YSL. The site’s design incorporates the iconic SDM blue in an easy-to-navigate layout and provides a prestige feel that mimics the high-end feel of brick-and-mortar Beauty Boutiques.
