NEW YORK — Colgate-Palmolive Co.’s Speed Stick Power brand has teamed up with television star Danny Pudi for a campaign called "How Do You #HANDLEIT?" on social media site Twitter.

The company said Monday that the antiperspirant/deodorant brand is asking guys to tweet their best "Handle It" moments — that is, those times when guys are sweating on the inside while trying to maintain their cool on the outside — to @SpeedStick using the hash tag #HANDLEIT.

Through May 14, guys that send their tweets enter for a chance to have their story brought to life in a YouTube video narrated by Pudi, who plays the the fast-talking pop culture junkie Abed on the NBC TV comedy "Community."

Examples of "Handle It" moments include calling your date by the wrong name, or wearing worn jeans and a T-shirt to a meeting where everyone else was dressed up. Pudi also gives some advice on such awkward moments as going blank during a presentation, breaking up with a girlfriend and laughing inappropriately during a conference call.

"I’m definitely no stranger to ‘Handle It’ moments. Once I actually smiled my way down the red carpet with spinach in my teeth. Didn’t end up with the best photos, but I survived," Pudi commented. "Am I alone here? I want to hear from other guys. Tweet your best ‘Handle It’ moments to @SpeedStick using the hash tag #HANDLEIT for a chance to have it made into a Speed Stick video starring me as the narrator."

Speed Stick Power sticks provide antiperspirant and deodorant benefits in a variety of masculine fragrances to keep men feeling fresh and dry all day. The product comes in four scents: Fresh, Unscented, Ultimate Sport and Energy Surge.
