Renée St-Jean has been appointed chair of the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada.

St-Jean brings extensive pharmacy leadership, governance and quality experience to the role. She currently serves as Vice President, Enterprise Quality Governance – Pharmacy & Pharmacovigilance at Cencora, where she leads enterprisewide quality frameworks that support safe, reliable and scalable pharmacy care across diverse practice settings.
She has spent her career advancing the evolution of pharmacy practice in Canada and is widely recognized as a leading voice in the sector. Her work reflects a strong commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration and the continued advancement of pharmacy's role in the healthcare system.
St-Jean succeeds Marie-Claude Vézina, Senior Vice President and Chief Network Officer at Metro Inc., who has completed a successful two-year term as chair.
Newly elected to the association board were Greg Shepherd, Chief Executive Officer of Pharmasave West, and John Greiss, Chief Legal Officer at Sentrex Health Solutions

Shepherd leads strategic growth and operational support for more than 350 independently owned Pharmasave pharmacies across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon.
A pharmacist with more than 30 years of experience spanning hospital, pharma and community pharmacy ownership roles, he brings deep experience in executive leadership, strategic planning and pharmacy advocacy. A proven leader in corporate governance, he served as President and Board Chair of the BC Pharmacy Association. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Greiss brings a rare combination of expertise to the general counsel role at Sentrex. As a licensed lawyer and pharmacist in Ontario, he has over 20 years of experience working on commercial and regulatory matters for companies and regulators across the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Prior to joining Sentrex, he worked at top-tier law firms in Toronto. His legal practice is enhanced by his previous experience in patient care and pharmacy operations with a national pharmacy retailer. This enables him to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder issues with precision while delivering innovative, practical solutions tailored to the needs of clients and partners in the healthcare sector.
