TABS Group establishes Walmart analytics team

TABS Group Inc. has formed a senior-level team to supporting internal and customer-related initiatives with Walmart.

SHELTON, Conn. — TABS Group Inc. has formed a senior-level team to supporting internal and customer-related initiatives with Walmart.

The consumer products marketing analytics firm said the new hires, who previously held positions at IRI Worldwide, will provide insights to help it obtain a comprehensive understanding of how the nation’s largest retailer operates on a chainwide and a local level, benefitting Walmart and consumer products manufacturers.

Now serving as vice president of client services at TABS is Kayla Fromm-Mendoza, who will focus exclusively on Walmart’s internal analytical needs. John Powell, appointed as vice president of client service, will act as a liaison between manufacturers and Walmart initiatives.

John Bundy has been named director of retail analytics and will be responsible for supporting advanced analytics and consulting initiatives. And as the new director of information management at TABS, Brad Clayton will focus on handling the huge amounts of data involved in supporting the analytical needs of Walmart and the retailer’s manufacturer teams.

All four new analysts will report to Kelly Marion, the Walmart team lead at TABS Group.

"We are extremely excited to have all of these experts on board at TABS Group," stated Kurt Jetta, founder and chief executive officer of TABS Group. "Once we combine their outstanding business acumen and expertise with Walmart with our unique analytical approach and proprietary models, we believe we will have a superior service offering to all parties that do business in Bentonville."

TABS added that besides its Walmart team appointments, it has hired Skip Selle as the new vice president of business development. Selle previously held various analytical and business development positions at such firms as IRI, Spectra and Nielsen. Also joining TABS is consultant Rob Ruff from SCA, a manufacturer of adult incontinence products. Ruff will support clients’ category management initiatives through the TABS CatMan service.
