Namasté enters deal to be acquired by Dabur

Namasté Laboratories, the maker of Organic Root Stimulator, has agreed to be acquired by Dabur India Ltd. Namasté said this week that the deal calls for the company to be acquired through Dabur’s U.S.-based subsidiary Dermoviva Skin Essentials Inc.

Coty plans Lady Gaga fragrance

Coty Inc. has signed up pop music sensation Lady Gaga to develop and market a signature fragrance. Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. Plans call for the yet-to-be named fragrance line to launch in the spring of 2012.

Ridovir Cold to hit pharmacy shelves in Canada

Natural cold remedy Ridovir Cold, from Quebec-based Biopharmacopae, is slated to roll out to retail pharmacies in Canada. Biopharmacopae said this week that Ridovir Cold will soon be available at Zellers, Rexall drug stores, Pharma Plus drug marts and other pharmacies in Canada.

Align probiotic gets nod from gastroenterologists

Procter & Gamble Co. said its Align supplement is the nation’s No. 1 gastroenterologist-recommended probiotic. The statement stems from the results of a Wolters Kluwer 2010 survey of more than 600 gastroenterologists, of those physicians who recommended a brand of probiotic, P&G said Wednesday.
