CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Take Care Health Systems has opened another work-site health care center for Intel, expanding its nearly five-year relationship with the computer chip giant.
The Walgreens health clinic subsidiary said Thursday that it has launched an on-site medical center offering full service primary care at Intel’s Jones Farm Campus in Hillsboro, Ore.
According to Take Care, Intel’s Health for Life Center will serve about 5,700 people, providing routine primary care, urgent care, pharmacy services, lab testing, allergy and flu shots, travel medicine and vaccinations, and physical therapy. The facility also will identify chronic health conditions and provide education on nutrition and exercise to help reduce risk factors.
Staff at the Jones Farm health center will include a full-time doctor, nurse practitioners, a physical therapist, registered nurses, phlebotomists, certified medical assistants and health coaches, Take Care said.
Take Care operates Intel’s wellness and occupational programs in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Massachusetts and provides primary care services in Arizona. The walk-in clinic operator said plans are under way to open another on-site medical center at Intel’s Ronler Acres Campus, also in Hillsboro, Ore.

Take Care said it has been working with Intel since May 2006. Intel employees in Arizona have had access to on-site primary care since October 2008, and in 2010 roughly half of the Arizona Intel population used the center for primary care, resulting in more than 22,000 visits.

Overall, Take Care Health Systems operates more than 370 work-site health centers nationwide.
