Totaria highlights four factors in choosing midlife supplements

Totaria advises women choosing midlife supplements to consider formulation, labeling, serving size, and ease of use—not just ingredient count.

NEW YORK — Ahead of World Menopause Day, Totaria has outlined four factors women should consider when choosing multi-ingredient supplements for midlife nutrition: ingredient combinations, Supplement Facts labeling, serving sizes, and ease of daily use.

The nutritional supplement brand said that ingredient count alone offers limited insight into whether a formula is appropriate for an individual. Instead, consumers should consider how ingredients are combined, whether product information is clearly presented, and how easily a supplement can be incorporated into a daily routine.

Totaria said comprehensive formulas can simplify daily routines by combining several nutritional considerations into a single product, rather than requiring consumers to manage multiple supplements.

The company cited its 40-in-1 Menopause Supplements for Women as an example. The product comes in a bottle of 120 vegan capsules, with a suggested serving of two capsules per day, providing an approximately 60-day supply. Listed ingredients include black cohosh, red clover, vitex berry, DIM, and probiotics.

“Consumers should be able to look beyond ingredient counts and understand what makes a formula thoughtfully designed,” said Barry Wang, Totaria spokesperson. “That includes how ingredients are selected and combined, how clearly product information is presented, and how easily a supplement fits into everyday life.”

Totaria said nutritional needs vary and consumers should consult health care professionals when appropriate.
