Upcoming NCPA items for pharmacy teams

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce these upcoming events for pharmacists and

pharmacy team members:

  • June 27 – What States Did for Pharmacies in 2024, advocacy update. The last several years have seen a surge of pharmacy-related activity in states across the country. NCPA’s state government affairs staff will cover what they’re seeing in this comprehensive CE webinar. Learn more and register.
  • July 2 – NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship Open House, online. The fellowship is an intensive 12-month training program aiming to help pharmacies grow non-PBM revenue and advance practice transformation. Learn more during this live general interest meeting.
  • July 11 – Beyond Medications: Getting Paid for Pharmacy-Based Nutrition Support webinar, part of our monthly NCPA Learning Hour series. Community pharmacies are key access points for patients with diabetes. In addition to questions about pills, pumps, and pens, patients want to know about food. Learn more and register.
  • July 31 –
    • Registration deadline for the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship. This executive MBA-like program showcases outstanding pharmacy peers who walk participants through implementing successful services that generate revenue beyond dispensing. Learn more and register.
    • Extended registration deadline for NCPA’s CORE leadership and business development program. Aimed at anyone looking to expand their leadership skills and business acumen, CORE has been designed to improve confidence and experience in areas where pharmacy owners say they often feel least equipped. Learn more and register.
  • Aug. 5 – Registration deadline for the Diabetes Accreditation Boot Camp. The NCPA Innovation Center is teaming up with PharmFurther to offer this turnkey online course that will help prepare participants for DSME accreditation in six weeks or less so they can bill Medicare and other payers for diabetes education they’re probably already providing. Learn more and register.

Additionally, registration is open for the NCPA 2024 Annual Convention and Expo being held Oct. 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio, and for our Pre-Convention Growth and Profitability Programs. This year’s theme – GPS: Growth, Performance, Success – will help pharmacy teams navigate the obstacles and opportunities in today’s pharmacy landscape. Early bird rates are available for those who sign up through July 12 for the convention and through Aug. 15 for the pre-convention programs.
