these upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members:

  • July 12: Finding Money in Plain Sight – How To Save On Often Overlooked Pharmacy Expenses, part of our Rapid Relief Revenue Learning Hour initiative. Whether it’s saving money on the pharmacy phone bill, reducing credit card fees, looking at the cost of vials and labels, or more, there are dollars hidden in plain sight. Multi-store pharmacy owner Jeff Harrell is sharing how he finds them. Learn more and register.
  • July 31: Deadline to enroll for the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN® Community Pharmacy Fellowship, sponsored by Good Neighbor Pharmacy. This intensive 12-month training program aims to help pharmacies grow non-PBM revenue and advance practice transformation. The first 20 pharmacies to enroll in the fellowship will be eligible to receive $3,750 back once they have completed the program, in August 2024. Learn more and register.
  • Ongoing:
    • Encouraging community pharmacy teams to invite their federal representatives for a pharmacy visit during the August in-district work period. This important month of action will turn up the heat on PBM-insurers and keep community pharmacy on the minds of members of Congress. Learn more and sign up to participate.
    • Registration is open for the Pre-Convention Growth and Profitability Programs being held in Orlando ahead of the NCPA 2023 Annual Convention. Programming includes long-term care, pharmacy ownership, point-of-care test and treat, and a new course to help attendees revamp their pharmacies from the inside out. Learn more and register.
    • Registration is open for the NCPA 2023 Annual Convention and Expo. The convention will be held Oct. 14-17 in Orlando. Learn more and register.

NCPA also offers a variety of on-demand programs available to pharmacy teams to take on their own schedule. Recent additions include webinars related to the upcoming “DIR hangover,” when pharmacy cash flow might get tricky as new rules take effect relating to pharmacy direct and indirect remuneration. Additional items and programs are available in the NCPA Learning Center.
