Maple Grove, MN – August 20, 2026 – Upsher-Smith, a subsidiary of Bora Pharmaceuticals, has announced the recent launch of Glatiramer Acetate Injection in 20 mg/mL and 40 mg/mL strengths, adding to the Company’s portfolio of complex generic medicines. According to IQVIA, the Glatiramer Acetate Injection market had U.S. sales of approximately $562 million.
The Therapeutic Equivalence (TE) code for Upsher-Smith’s Glatiramer Acetate Injection product is AP, and the Reference Listed Drug (RLD) is the brand COPAXONE (glatiramer acetate injection). “The launch of Glatiramer Acetate Injection marks another important milestone in Upsher-Smith’s efforts to build a diversified portfolio of complex generic medicines,” said Jim Maahs, Senior Vice President, Head of Upsher-Smith Commercial.
