Vaultz medicine cases gain FSA/HSA eligibility

CLEVELAND — Vaultz Locking Medicine Cases are now eligible for purchase with Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account funds, expanding access to products that help families securely store medications.

The company said the eligibility applies across its medicine line, which includes locking medicine boxes, cases and pill boxes. The products are designed to keep prescription medications secure, organized and out of reach of anyone who should not have access to them, including children, visitors and others in the household.

Vaultz said the change gives pharmacists another option when discussing safe medication storage with patients, especially for controlled substances. The company also views the designation as an opportunity for pharmacies and drugstore retailers as consumers look to use remaining FSA and HSA funds on eligible health products.

Customers can purchase the products with any payment method and submit their receipt to their plan administrator for reimbursement. Vaultz said retailers can also contact the company regarding SIGIS listing and IIAS auto-substantiation for point-of-sale systems.

Vaultz, a brand of Cleveland-based Brands To Retail, has offered locking medicine storage products for more than 20 years. Its medicine cases were designed to support safer household storage of prescription medications, with an emphasis on medication safety and controlled-substance security.
