Vichy unveils Capital Soleil sunscreen line

Vichy Laboratoires has introduced Capital Soleil, a new range of oil-free, allergy-tested sun care products designed to provide cellular protection from UVA/UVB rays and free radicals.

NEW YORK — Vichy Laboratoires has introduced Capital Soleil, a new range of oil-free, allergy-tested sun care products designed to provide cellular protection from UVA/UVB rays and free radicals.

Vichy said Wednesday that Capital Soleil features an advanced ultra-violet (UV) ray filtering system to provide broad-spectrum protection against UVB (mainly responsible for burning) and UVA (mainly responsible for aging) rays and employs an antioxidant combination of white grape polyphenols and vitamin E to offer cellular protection and neutralize almost all types of skin-aging free radicals.

The new line includes three products. Capital Soleil SPF 50 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid, priced at $24.50 for a 1.7 fluid-ounce container, provides daily face protection "for an incredibly transparent and nongreasy finish that is ideal for everyday use and under makeup," according to Vichy.

Capital Soleil Soft Sheer Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60 and Capital Soleil Soft Sheer Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 (priced at $29.50 and $27.50, respectively, for 5 fl. oz.) provide multilayer protection from UV rays and skin-aging free radical damage. The fragrance-free, water-resistant formulas were developed for sensitive skin, and Capital Soleil SPF 60 is pediatrician-tested, the company said.

The Vichy Capital Soleil sunscreen products are available at CVS/pharmacy, Duane Reade and Walgreens drug stores.
