DEERFIELD, Ill. — To express thanks to employees, Walgreens will close most of its retail stores on Thursday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is the second year the company has done this to allow team members more time with their loved ones.

For those shopping last minute, Walgreens customers can order online for one-hour delivery or schedule in-store pickups until Wednesday, November 27. Around 500 24-hour Walgreens locations and 300 pharmacies within those locations will remain open over the Thanksgiving holiday to meet the healthcare needs of its customers, including vaccinations against the flu, COVID-19, RSV, and pneumonia, to ensure a healthy and happy holiday.

As for other upcoming winter holidays, Walgreens plans to be open on Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year’s Day (January 1).
