BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart is inviting communities to start 2025 on a healthier note by joining its first Wellness Day of the year on Saturday, January 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. Nearly 4,600 Walmart pharmacies across the country will offer free health screenings, including glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure checks, along with affordable immunizations for flu, COVID-19, HPV, measles, mumps, and more. Select stores will also provide vision screenings, product demonstrations, and in-store giveaways.
“A new year brings opportunities for a fresh start, and we want to support people on their health journeys,” said Kevin Host, Walmart’s senior vice president of pharmacy. “Wellness Day allows customers to check in on their health in an affordable and convenient way while fostering connections with our pharmacy teams.”
Beyond Screenings: Support for Every Step of Your Health Journey
Wellness Day offers families a chance to engage with Walmart pharmacists on various health topics, including healthy living, recommended vaccinations, and women’s health. Pharmacists can provide guidance on nutrition during pregnancy, emphasizing the importance of folic acid for baby development.
Walmart pharmacies in 21 states also provide same-day testing and treatment for strep, flu, or COVID-19, and combined COVID-19 and Flu A/B home tests are available for over-the-counter purchase.
