Welch’s Fruit Snacks expands portfolio with probiotic and no-added-sugar innovations

The launches reflect continued momentum in functional and health-focused snacking, particularly across categories tied to digestive wellness, sugar reduction and cleaner ingredient profiles.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — PIM Brands, maker of Welch’s Fruit Snacks, is expanding its better-for-you snack lineup with the launch of two new products aimed at growing consumer demand for digestive health support and reduced-sugar offerings.

The launches come shortly after Welch’s Fruit Snacks announced that its entire portfolio has transitioned away from artificial dyes.

Leading the rollout is Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits, a new fruit-and-yogurt snack featuring 2 billion probiotic cultures intended to support digestive health. The products combine fruit centers with a creamy yogurt coating and will be available in Strawberry and Peach-Mango varieties.

The company said Welch’s Probiotic Yogofruits carries a suggested retail price of $7.99 and is shipping now, ahead of a nationwide rollout scheduled for early June.

PIM Brands is also introducing reformulated Welch’s Absolute Fruitfuls Fruit Strips, which the company said contain more fruit, added fiber, no added sugar and 10% fewer calories compared with the previous Fruitfuls formulation.

The new Fruit Strips will be available in Strawberry, Berry Medley and Mango-Peach flavors. The products have a suggested retail price of $5.99 and are also shipping now, with a nationwide rollout planned for early June.

The launches reflect continued momentum in functional and health-focused snacking, particularly in categories tied to digestive wellness, sugar reduction and cleaner ingredient profiles. The company recently completed the transition of all Welch’s Fruit Snacks products to colors from natural sources, eliminating artificial dyes across the portfolio.
