WILMINGTON, Del. — AstraZeneca has launched a patient support program for postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer who are prescribed Arimidex.
The pharmaceutical company said Thursday that the program, the Arimidex Savings Card, is designed to provide eligible patients with instant discounts, potentially saving them up to $300.
When using the Arimidex Savings Card, patients with prescription coverage and a copay of more than $50 can get up to $50 in instant savings, up to a maximum of six times, each time they fill an Arimidex prescription, according to AstraZeneca.
For example, the drug maker would pay $25 for a patient with a copay of $75, and it would pay $50 for a patient with a copay of $100. The savings offer is good for qualified customers for the purchase of a 30-day supply of Arimidex.
The process to receive an Arimidex Savings Card entails no paperwork for patients, the company noted. Patients can contact their health care provider and then check eligibility requirements by calling the AstraZeneca Information Center at (800) 236-9933. If eligible, patients can obtain a savings card from their health care provider or from the AstraZeneca Information Center. In addition, by the end of July, patients will be able to download the savings card on www.inyourcorner.com.
Patients should present their Arimidex Savings Card to a participating pharmacist, along with their prescription and insurance card, and they may receive instant savings, up to $50 per fill for up to six fills.
