A look inside the remodeled Bartell Drugs store in West Seattle.
SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs has remodeled two stores and announced an opening for next year.
The chain completed renovations in West Seattle and Snohomish and announced a new outlet for Snoqualmie, east of Lake Washington.
The West Seattle site now features Bartell’s 10th CareClinic, while the Snohomish outlet has added a drive-through pharmacy window. Both locations have been updated with energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, new shelving and furniture and modernized flooring. Both measure a little more than 14,000 square feet and took just over four months to complete.
Several category assortments have been expanded. The market sections feature a broadened mix including locally produced food, beer and wine and increased cooler capacity for more beverages and frozen food items. The beauty departments have experienced a “makeover” as well with an enlarged selection including the popular e.l.f., NYX and L.A. Colors cosmetics brands.
The pharmacies feature an enhanced, comfortable waiting area, a private consultation room, and a host of preventative care services including immunizations.
The 15,000-square-foot Snoqualmie outlet, expected to premiere next summer, will be one of the primary tenants in the new Ridge Plaza.
“Bartell Drugs is excited by the opportunities presented by this store opening,” stated president and chief executive officer Brian Unmacht. “The new Snoqualmie Ridge location will continue our unique blend of expert pharmacy services along with a great selection of local products.”
Bartell currently operates more than 20 stores serving customers on the Eastside.
