Bob Hoffman named chair of the Association for Accessible Medicines Board of Directors

WASHINGTON — The Association for Accessible Medicines' Board of Directors elected Bob Hoffman as Chair. Hoffman, Chief Commercial Officer of U.S. Generics at Lupin Pharmaceuticals, was Vice Chair for two terms. Also elected were Punit Patel, President and CEO of Zydus Group Americas as Vice Chair, and Jeff Burd, President & CEO of Ajanta Pharma USA, reelected Treasurer for a third term.

“It is an honor to serve as AAM board chair, and I thank the board for the privilege,” said Bob Hoffman, Chair of the AAM Board of Directors. “On behalf of the board, we are grateful to Keren Haruvi for her service as chair and for her hard work and tireless advocacy for our industry and the patients we serve. We will continue to work as a board and with AAM staff to protect and expand patient access to generic and biosimilar medicines, shine a light on opaque business practices getting in the way of lower-cost medicines, and continue to work with leaders across the country to empower a truly sustainable supply chain and competitive market for critical lifesaving medicines.”

Hoffman brings more than 33 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before founding Lupin’s generic division in the U.S., he served in management roles at Schein Pharmaceuticals, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Lek Pharmaceuticals, and Pliva Pharmaceuticals.
