PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Camber Pharmaceuticals has launched Losartan Potassium and Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets [loe-SAR-tan poe-TAS-ee-um and hye-droe-klor-oh-THYE-a-zide], generic for Hyzaar.
Losartan Potassium and Hydrochlorothiazide is a combination of an angiotensin II receptor blocker and diuretic indicated to:
- Treat hypertension and reduce cardiovascular risks, including stroke and myocardial infarction.
- Reduce stroke risk in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy, though this benefit has not been demonstrated in Black patients.
