Camber launches generics of Plavix, Mirapex

Camber Pharmaceuticals has expanded its generic drug lineup with the release of clopidogrel tablets, an anticoagulant, and pramipexole dihydrocloride tablets, a treatment for Parkinson’s disease.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Camber Pharmaceuticals has expanded its generic drug lineup with the release of clopidogrel tablets, an anticoagulant, and pramipexole dihydrocloride tablets, a treatment for Parkinson’s disease.

Camber said Wednesday that its clopidogrel product, a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Plavix, comes in 30-, 90- and 500-count bottles of 75-mg tablets. The medication is used to prevent blood clots after a recent heart attack or stroke, as well as in people with certain disorders of the heart or blood vessels.

A generic of Eisai’s Mirapex, Camber’s pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets are available in dosages of 0.125 mg, 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, 1 mg and 1.5 mg and come in 90-count bottles. The drug is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease as well as for the treatment of restless legs syndrome (RLS).
