Dollar General names two technology executives

Dollar General Corp. has made two changes to its information technology team, naming a chief technology officer and a chief information security office. Julie Elmore has joined the company as vice president and chief technology officer.

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General Corp. has made two changes to its information technology team, naming a chief technology officer and a chief information security office.

Julie Elmore

Julie Elmore has joined the company as vice president and chief technology officer. In this newly-created role, she will oversee all internal and external application development for Dollar General, including: merchandising systems, digital, store systems, supply chain and enterprise. Elmore most recently served as vice president, optimization, fulfillment and logistic systems for Macy’s. She earned her bachelor of business administration in computer information systems and management from Mercer University.

Tom Ratz

Tom Ratz has been named as vice president and chief information security officer where he will lead the development of the company’s IT security and access management systems. Ratz joined Dollar General in 2007 and has taken on roles of increasingly responsibility during his career with the Company. He earned his associate degree in computer technology from Indiana Tech and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
